Kyoto is justifiably a household name. Ancient beyond most countries, history to full one hundred textbooks; the capital of Japan for over a millenia. Kyoto is a treasure trove for any tourisdt or explorer, and if possible is underrated as atravel destination, overshadowed by the flashing lightds of the newer capital. If you are looking for a quieter, but still modern and sophidticatd Japan, here it is.
You might not think of birds when you think of Ohio, but they;re there. The marshy north and the coast of Lake Eerie make a great place for weary birds to stop on their northward and southward migrations, and they do so each year by the tens of thousands.
